What are your listing requirements?

Sites must be launched, functioning, not contain broken links, and be directly related to the category submitted to in order to be considered for inclusion. It is important that you familiarize yourself with the directory categories before submitting your listing in order to make sure your site is relevant.
 
Descriptions should not contain promotional text, but rather be objective and accurately descriptive of site content. Currently we only accept U.S. companies or foreign companies with divisions in the United States. We will edit listings as needed to maintain quality standards.


Do I need a website to list my business?

You do not need to have a website to be listed in the directory. However, you must still comply with the listing requirements and adhere to the website Terms & Conditions.


What should be included in the directory description?

Your description should tell the user as much about your services in as few words as possible. Include what your firm does, specific services provided, and where your firm is located, if applicable. Depending on the package you select, you may also have the ability to post additional images and videos (Featured Listings only), links to your social media sites, and your address and phone contact information.


Where will my listings Appear?

Standard listings appear within the Directory section, below the Featured Listings section under the categories you specify. Featured Listings appear at the top of the directory listings page as well as on the BuilderSpace home page.


I've just submitted my listing. Why is it not showing?

The BuilderSpace directory is human-edited. We review all submissions to make sure they meet our requirements and make any necessary editing changes before posting your listing. Your site will not be visible on the front end to users until it has been reviewed and approved by an editor.


My site was declined, why was it declined?

Please be aware that by submitting a listing you are "suggesting" a site, and that inclusion into the directory is up to the discretion of our editors. Most sites, however, are accepted without problems unless they are not relevant to the content of the directory. Please, only submit your site if it applies to at least one category within the directory.


Will I need to resubmit my site after one year?

When submitting your business listing you have the option of selecting "single-payment", in which case you will need to resubmit your listing following expiration, or "automatic renewal", in which case your account will automatically be charged on a yearly basis until you choose to discontinue your listing. It is not necessary to resubmit your listing if you select the automatic renewal option.


Can I revise my business listing after submitting?

Once your account is approved, you can login in to the Advertiser Portal to revise your listing under the "Manage Your Business Listings" tab as often as you'd like. Please keep in mind, however, that revisions will still be editorially reviewed to ensure they comply with our Terms & Conditions.


I want to upgrade to a Featured Listing. How do I do this?

Login in to the Advertiser Portal and select the "Manage Your Business Listings" tab. After selecting your listing under the "Name" heading, choose Featured Listing from the drop-down menu under "Upgrade Package". Next, return to the control panel home page and select the "Manage your orders" tab. From there you will see the "Pay now" button to complete your order.


How do I extend / renew my listing?

Login in to the Advertiser Portal and select the "Manage Your Business Listings" tab. After selecting your listing under the "Name" heading, click (only once) on the "Extend period" link next to Expiration date. Next, return to the control panel home page and select the "Manage your orders" tab. From there you will see the "Pay now" button to complete your order.
