Abrasion Resistance

Abrasion Resistance | Resistance to being worn away by rubbing or friction. Wearing is caused by the rubbing of two surfaces against each other. When one surface is softer than the other, the softer surface will tend to wear, causing the unwanted removal of the surface. Epoxies, adhesives, and polyurethanes are often used on weaker surfaces to extend their lifespan by resisting and reducing abrasion. |
